Why Third Loop?
Third Loop is not built for the masses. It's built for technical knowledge workers who demand high performance and know exactly what they need from their tools.
What Our Users Look Like
We started Third Loop with a mission to create AI solutions for engineers, consultants, and technical staff who solve complex, technical problems. Our users aren't typically from software backgrounds. They do extensive technical writing, work in specialized analysis tools, work on physics-based problems, and think big picture: strategy, risk, business analysis.
They face demanding cybersecurity requirements driven by the nature of their work and their commitments to customers and clients. They need to share data within their organizations, but often only within specific project teams. They're intelligent, know what they want, and know where to find information.
Our target users are high-performance teams that need AI and software tools that keep them in control of their process. They need to codify workflows. They need organizational consistency. They need to cite sources and track information provenance. They need private data repositories that don't cross-pollinate between projects. And they need custom workflows they want to build but lack the resources to create.
Distilled Customer Requirements
If I had to distill the requirements down to three bullet points:
- A chat interface with deep functionality, not default autonomous functionality. Tools that give users significant control over the process.
- Customized, repeatable workflows. Purpose-built for their projects with consistency baked in.
- Top-tier security. Just to get past their IT department.
The Alternatives
Most office workers have used ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools. These platforms offer enterprise support and data security agreements, but they're horizontal products designed for everyone, which means they're optimized for no one in particular.
Tools like ChatGPT are focused on adding ads, generic consumer features, and shopping plugins, not engineering workflows. They don't know your industry's documentation, codes, or delivery standards. Commercial providers promise your data is never used for model training (if you pay for it). But that doesn't mean they meet the specific requirements for your cyber security or quality assurance program. Plus, if you want industry-specific capability, you'll need to hire engineers to build it, which brings us to the other alternative.
Building in-house sounds like control. In practice, it's a second business.
A team of 3–5 engineers costs $500K–$1.5M annually in salary alone, before compute, infrastructure, security reviews, compliance work, or maintenance. More importantly, it never ends. Every model update, every new integration, every compliance requirement becomes your team's problem indefinitely.
Your firm likely doesn't exist to build and maintain AI infrastructure. Your competitive advantage is your people's expertise and your client relationships, not your ability to ship internal software.
The Third Path
Our platform is the third option: tools you'd spend years building, ready on day one.
Third Loop isn't just licensed software. It's a fully supported platform with training, deployment flexibility, and collaboration tools built in. It allows you to tailor the tool to your organizational needs.
Data & Collections. You can curate your data resources for your business. Your team adds their own curated knowledge base, and your past work makes the system smarter over time. And you don't have to worry about Third Loop stealing your data or training on it. We guarantee your data stays yours.
Workflows. Structured processes for your most common deliverables, built around how engineering and consulting work actually gets done. Reduce time from brief to first draft, and ensure outputs are consistent across your team.
Collaboration & Organizational Control. Share workflows, agents, and collections with other users. Or publish them to the organization. We have a built-in administrative approval system to make sure published information makes sense to be seen by all.
Agent Builder. Your technical staff can create custom tools for specific workflows without building infrastructure from scratch. The power of a development platform, without the overhead of maintaining one.
Secure Sandbox. Engineers can prototype and test code, data analysis, and more in an isolated environment before anything touches production or client data. Build fast, deploy responsibly.
SDK. Embed our capabilities directly into the tools your team already uses. Build custom integrations to your existing databases and systems without needing our engineering team. We fit your workflow; you don't have to change yours to fit ours.
Deployment Options. Available on commercial cloud or GovCloud to meet your compliance requirements. Whether you're working on federal contracts or commercial projects, we have the infrastructure you need.
Training & Adoption. We help your team actually adopt the platform, not just license it. When you sign up, you get training tailored to engineers and consultants, not generic AI tutorials.
Domain Expertise and Support. We work for engineers and consultants. We are engineers and consultants. When you have a question, you talk to someone who understands your business, not a generic support queue.
Third Loop is built for teams who need AI that works the way they do, with the control, consistency, and security their work demands.
